Andrew, my son, age 11, has attended Glasnevin Academy of Music for almost 3 years. Andrew has an excellent teacher, Chloe and he has made great progress under her expert and professional tuition. Chloe is a natural teacher and her open and communicative teaching style has both encouraged him greatly but also given him a genuine love of music. He began on a keyboard and given his good progress we invested in a piano. I am very grateful to Chloe for her advice regarding the purchase which she gave me over a long conversation on a weekend evening. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Academy as a place that is genuinely committed to providing children with a positive learning experience that gives them an appreciation and love of music. The staff are also all very kind and friendly, taking time to engage with all the students.

As a mature student I have been taking guitar lessons with The Glasnevin Academy of Music for the last 10 years. The teachers are excellent, professional, encouraging, and fun – hence my continued involvement with the school. Through the school and Rock Jam, I have also become part of a band called ‘The Avenues’. It is a great opportunity to jam with other like-minded people, perform live, write our own material and, more recently, go into the recording studio. If making music is on your bucket list I would recommend the Glasnevin Academy of Music. Sonya and her team are the best, friendly and accommodating. 

I have 3 boys who attend Glasnevin Academy of Music for the last few years. They love each of their instruments and have consistent teachers who encourage them whether they want to do exams or not. This results in each boy loving music even more!

My children have been attending Glasnevin Academy of Music for many years and I was so impressed that I signed up for piano lessons myself (age 51!). I recommend the school very highly.

We have three members of the family learning instruments at Glasnevin Academy of Music. Everyone is learning lots and love their teachers. Staff and teachers are always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to learn music of any kind start here.

My son has been attending the Glasnevin Academy of Music for nearly 6 years and my daughter has been attending for nearly 3 years. They are both making excellent progress on the piano and have done very well in all of their grade exams. It has given them great confidence to be able to play a musical instrument and they love performing their pieces for friends and family. Orla is great for keeping them both motivated and they always enjoy the lessons with her. We love the location right beside the Botanic Gardens and it’s also great to have the flexibility to do the lessons on Zoom if necessary.

Our daughter has been attending Glasnevin Academy of Music for 7 years now. She thoroughly enjoys her piano lessons every week. Every teacher she has had has been extremely encouraging, enthusiastic and professional. They concentrate on her exam pieces but still make it fun for her.

I cannot recommend the Glasnevin Academy of Music highly enough. My daughter started attending originally for vocal lessons and then we signed her up to learn guitar, both acoustic and electric. She absolutely loves going to her music lessons and, thanks to her amazing teacher, Darren, has taken to guitar like a duck to water. She’ll sit in the car identifying the chords of songs we’re listening to and can play any of them perfectly after only hearing a few bars. Again, this is thanks to Darren who is always upbeat and excited to teach, and whose patience and encouragement has not only helped her excel in guitar, but has also helped boost her overall self-confidence. That relaxed friendliness and eagerness to encourage, as well as a willingness to bend over backwards to help can be seen in everyone there, from Sonya at the front desk to the teachers, all of whom deserve equally high praise, and help make Glasnevin Academy of Music the perfect place for anyone and everyone to learn music.

Glasnevin School of Music is an excellent school with lots of teachers for many instruments. Sonya is always helpful in trying to arrange suitable lesson times. My boys have attended music lessons for seven years now and I have always found each music teacher enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

It is great to see the progress our daughters have made learning guitar, keyboard, violin and singing. The team at Glasnevin Music Academy have been great with them over the last few years. We would recommend the academy to anyone looking to begin or continue learning their musical instrument of choice.

It’s a wonderful place to send your kids. Great environment and very friendly teachers. My kids love it there and are excited for every class. I would totally recommend Glasnevin Academy to send your kids to learn any instrument taught there.

My family have been involved with Glasnevin Academy of Music for the past 4 years. Great people to deal with and always very helpful. There is a very experienced team of teachers at the school, my family have been involved in classes relating to Singing, Keyboards, Guitar and Drums and the team have helped us through a number of performance exams. The school has very good location and great facilities , well done to Sonya and the team.

I highly recommend Glasnevin Academy of Music. I have availed of piano and guitar lessons for my children for many years now and am really happy with the teachers, professionalism, support and engagement by all the staff. The exam preparation is super, and exam results have been great, though that isn’t the main reason for taking lessons. Whether you want to do exams or not, you’ll find interested and enthusiastic teachers and a really great team at Glasnevin Academy of Music.

I have 3 very happy children learning both piano and guitar at the academy. The teachers flex their approach to meet each child’s musical preference and make the classes fun. The team at the academy are always very accommodating, helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

We have been attending music lessons at Glasnevin Academy of music for 8 years now, it has been a really wonderful experience.  Everyone at the academy is very professional,  kind and show a real interest in teaching. We have had lessons from many of the teachers over the years and they are all fantastic musicians in their own right and great with children and adults alike! During Covid we always felt safe, the school was quickly able to adapt to the new normal,  continuing the lessons via Zoom and assisting with the recorded exams. The highlight of our years at Glasnevin Academy of Music is the concert evenings,  we hope they come back soon too! I would highly recommend the school to any budding musician or indeed anyone who is looking for a new hobby! 

With the skills, guidance and attention from staff my son has enjoyed and progressed well with his electric guitar. He was recently diagnosed with Autism and the staff have adapted to his needs without fuss and even added an element of fun to class. As a parent this is refreshing, enlightening and beautiful to watch.
